After a brief period with NATO, Anti-Submarine Warfare Research, as a mathematician in Italy, Will Harwood joined Perkins Engines where he held a number of management positions including Chef des Etudes-Recherche Operationelle, Perkins France, Managing Director of Perkins Engines Finance Company, Managing Director of Perkins Engines South Africa, General Manager-Africa and Middle East Operations and Vice President-Latin American Operations.
After 17 years with Perkins Engines Will Harwood was transferred to Massey Ferguson, the holding company of Perkins Engines, where he ran the Corporation’s trading and counter trading arm as President of Massey Ferguson World Trade, New York.
These operations, carried out in diverse countries including Peru, Zambia, Kenya, Sudan, Tunisia, Turkey, Libya, Zimbabwe and the Philippines, involved the export of a wide variety of commodities to generate incremental foreign exchange for the import of tractors into those countries.
Subsequently, Will ran his own countertrade operations in Africa, acquired a rain forest in South America and has been involved in a number of companies in the USA. He now consults for the largest small-business consulting company in the USA.
Will has honors degrees in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Liverpool, England and is an advisory board member of RC Equity Partners.
